Religious processions and Islamic Revolution

During the formation and victory of the Islamic revolution, taking into consideration the socio-political conditions, the religious processions, in addition to preserving the traditional functions, also shouldered new functions. Among the revolutionary functions of these processions, one can point to political and military, cultural and artistic, social and economic activities. Based on such functions, nucleus were taking form inside these religious processions. Revolutionaries were learning military trainings and preparing, poly copying and distributing slogans, flyers, cassette tapes, films and revolutionary pictures. Also, paying tribute to the revolutionaries, commemorating martyrs were done inside these religious processions in form of teaching Quran and Islamic fatwas, preaching and mourning ceremonies….

 
The Chronology of Holy Defense (battle under hard conditions)

After execution of unsuccessful operation of Ramadhan, with understanding of the new conditions, there were some fundamental changes in the views of the military commanders of the army and the corps, and these changes were influential in the functions of the military forces. Taking into consideration that Iraqi army had largely concentrated its forces in Basra and its east, this thinking came to existence that by performing a series of operations in other regions and dragging the enemy away from Basra and into other regions, the ground for execution of some important operation in Southern region will be provided. Based on this same perspective, the intended regions for preparatory Val Fajr, in order to gain access to the depth of the enemy land and cutting off the connecting lines of Basra, were chosen, and regardless of some differences of opinion that existed, ultimately the operational scheme number 1 of Karbala 11 was chosen for implementation of this operation.

 
 
Political notes of Iran. Ninth edition. 1260 – 1433, 1309 -1313

The present book is a translation of the ninth edition of the collection of fourteen volumes of “political notes of Iran” which include the documents and communications between the British embassy in Tehran and its foreign ministry between the years 1931 to 1934(1310 to 1313. H.SH). In this four year time period, Iran was interested in expanding relations with the neighboring countries, therefore the diplomatic relations between Iran and Afghanistan, Iraq and Turkey expanded. Along this line, Reza Shah went to Turkey and became familiar with the trappings of western modernism in that country. Ata Turk and secular and western thinking influenced him and this in turn greatly impacted the policies of Pahlavi regime. But the issue that has allocated most of the volume of the documents and communications, is the relations of Iran with Iranian oil company and the heightened disputes between them. These disputes continued to the point that the previous contract was nullified and a new contract was singed between Iran and England. Taymour Tash’s decline of power also happened in this period.

 
Popular resistance in the city of Amol (Reviewing the events of 6th of Bahman 1360)

" after achieving victory the Islamic republic gave all individuals and groups the chance to act freely however they wanted and publish whatever newspaper they wanted but you saw how they acted . They took up guns against the life of people and officially made an uprising against Islam. Today they make propaganda that only six or ten percent of people support the Islamic republic. All their hope and wishes was shomal(north) and they believed the north of the country are 100 percent opposed to the Islamic republic. From the other side they gathered all their forces and, in tge hope that people are with them, savagly attacked Amol, concluding Amol can be conquered and from there other cities could be conquered. People fought them back so hard that they could nit resist more than a few hours, the opposition of people is important and we should thank the city if Amol and its sacrificing people" What does"1000 trenches " mean? These trenches are hearts, they are not one thousand, they are thousands, equal to the number of every decent human, there exist a trench against the aggression of the enemy .

The ninth administration and the Zionist regime

With the coming to power of the ninth administration, the foreign policy of Iran became active and this government revived the discourse ambiance of the first years of the Islamic revolution. The president, by creating doubt in the subject of holocaust, announced that the domineering system, by establishing the Zionist regime in the sensitive and strategic region of the Middle East, used this regime in order for suppression and crisis and by raising the issue of the nuclear to arms of Israel and this regime not being a signatory to the non-proliferation treaty adopted an assertive position. This government, while describing the crimes of the Zionist regime against the people of Lebanon and Palestine, extended her extensive support of the resistance groups in Lebanon and Palestine, the zenith of which was the 33 days war against Israel and the 22 days war in Gaza.

 
Life and campaigns of Martyr Ayatollah Hussein Ghafari

Ayatollah Ghafari was born in Dehkharghan village of Tabriz(currently called Azarshahr) in 1918 (1297H.SH). He started his religious studies in his hometown and Tabriz, in 1946(1325 H.SH) he went to Qom and until the beginning of Islamic movement under the leadership of Imam Khomeni continued his studies with perseverance. In 1962(H.SH 1341), he assumed the public prayer leader of Al-Hadi mosque of Tehran and delivered lectures against the passing of state associations legislation. After raising the subject of “white revolution” and “land reform”, he expressed his opposition against these acts. Simultaneous with arrest of Imam Khomeini, Savak also arrested and imprisoned some eighty clergies, among whom was Ayatollah Ghafai. His revolutionary activities, in form of secret campaigns, reached its peak between the years 1971 to 1974( H.SH 1350 to 1353), therefore, Savak eventually arrested him in July, 1974(H.SH, Tir of 1353) and while searching his home, found numerous flyers. Ayatollah Ghafari, finally was martyred under sever pressure and torture on 25th of December 1974(H.SH 4th of Day 1353)

 
Mashhad, from resistance to victory Evaluating the campaigns of the religious scholars and people in Mashhad from 1962 to 1979

The holey city of Mashhad, due to the blessing of the shrine of the eighth Imam, Ali Ibn Musa Al Reza(peace be upon him), has participated in all scenes and contemporary movements of Iran and has taken great steps. In addition to that, the old seminary of the city has been the place for raising the religious scholars as well as great clergies who have played invaluable role in formation and expansion of the Islamic revolution throughout Iran. The existence of two houses of the great religious scholars, Ayatollah Milani and Seyyed Hasan Tabatabayee Qumi in Mashhad and numerous political and religious association such as the center of propagation of the Islamic truths, the association of the followers of the Quran, the Islamic association of the students and the relentless and influential activities of great personalities such as His Excellency Ayatollah Khamenei in raising the tree of the revolution in Mashhad and other Iranian cities have been important and fateful.
